Arrive before the first whistle
On a sports trip, arrival time affects recovery, training and the logistics of the whole team. Include the competition schedule in your enquiry, with enough time before the event. Mention equipment when requesting a quote so the airline’s restrictions can be checked and offers with different baggage allowances are not compared as if they were the same.
Declare your equipment
Balls, bicycles, skis and larger bags may be subject to different rules. We will need the number of items, dimensions and weight.
Time to recover
Say whether overnight flights and longer connections are acceptable. Specify the latest arrival time that leaves enough time for your plans.

What do organisers ask?
Is sports equipment included in the ticket price?
Not always. Specify the equipment in your enquiry; transport, limits and any extra charge should be listed separately in the offer.
What if the team line-up changes?
Whether a name can be changed, and at what cost, depends on the airline and the booking stage. Agree the deadline for the final squad before purchase.
Equipment transport requires airline approval. A player’s ticket price does not automatically include specialist baggage.
